Earlier this evening our Stations 1, 2 & Cornelius Fire responded to a working house fire off Amber Field Road. Engine 1 arrived on scne and declared a working fire where Asst. Chief Murphy took command. There was heavy fire in the garage area of the house and the crew from E1 made a quick push on the fire. Tower 1 arrived and was given the task of ventilation while crews from E2 and Cornelius searched the house and assisted with overhaul. Control time was declared after only 10 minutes. Fortunately no one was injured and the homeowners escaped safely, our thoughts and our prayers are with the family involved.
