As units responded smokecould be observed rising above the trees. Huntersville members arrived on sceneand reported a working structure fire with heavy brown smoke showing fromaround the entire structure. A working fire dispatch was transmitted.Moments later Huntersville Engine 2 arrived on location and advanced a 1 attack line intothe structure and found heavy dark smoke and high heat conditions toward therear of the structure with the kitchen hallway and two back rooms with heavyfire conditions. As the crew fought the fire additional Huntersville crewsarriving on scene performed horizontal and vertical ventilation while Engine 1screw arrived and advanced a second line into the structure. Long Creeks Engine3 laid their entire supply line down Hambright road while Huntersville Engine 2used some of their supply line to complete the extended lay. The fire wasmarked under control within 40 mins. Units remained on scene for an extendedperiod of time performing overhaul investigation and clean-up.
