While Engine 1 was on the way Central updated thecall and advised the vehicle was a Motorhome parked next to a barn. Station 2was added to the call and Engine 2 marked on the way. While Engine 1 drew nearthe scene they observed a large column of smoke and added Tanker 1 to the call.Chief 903 arrived on scene and advised a large Motorhome 25 involved withfire parked near a structure. Engine 1 arrived on location and with theassistance of additional fire fighters arriving on scene stretched the frontbumper line and a 1 attack line to the Motorhome for fire attack. Crewsknocked down fire in the rear engine compartment area while a team entered theMotorhome and advanced a line down the main hall to the rear kitchen and bedroomarea and knocked the fire down there as well. Engine 2 arrived and assisted with fire suppressionand overhaul. Tanker 1 was canceled prior to arrival. The Motorhome sufferedextensive fire damage to the rear bedroom bathroom and engine compartment. Thekitchen and living room area had fire and extensive smoke damage. All damagewas contained to the Motorhome with no damage to the adjacent barn or secondRV. The Motorhome was a total loss.
