SERIOUS MVA ON I-485 NEAR I-77

**I-77 MVA Update** All HFD & Long Creek Fire Department fire units are clearing from the scene. Scene has been turned over to CMPD & HPD and will become a criminal investigation.

The ramp from I-77SB to I-485 Outer will remain closed for the Police investigation. Use caution in the area but seek an alternate route. Excellent job by all responders on scene including Mecklenburg EMS Agency – Medic. #CLTtraffic #BlackOverRed

UPDATE: Police have announced that this accident stemmed from a road rage incident in which shots were fired. They are asking for assistance in locating the suspect. See photo below from HPD.
