It’s New Year’s Eve! While we encourage you to have fun and enjoy yourself celebrating 2017 while welcoming 2018; please be safe. We encourage you to have a designated driver if you’ve been drinking and be very careful out on the roadways; watching out for those that don’t make the right choice (the most dangerous times are between 8p-2a).
Many like to welcome in the New Year with noise (specifically gun shots and fireworks). Guns, fireworks and drinking do not mix well and remember that what you shoot into the air, comes right back down and could potentially strike someone. Also keep in mind that these loud noises scare pets and our fellow residents with PTSD. Consider avoiding their use.
If you are going out to an event or a party – make sure you identify two ways out (exits) from the venue. Stay alert to your surroundings and what’s going on around you. Consider leaving if the venue becomes too crowded. As always, if you see someone or something suspicious or out of place, report it immediately! #SeeSomethingSaySomething#NewYears #OneTownOneTeam As always, we’re on duty if you need us, call us – we’ll be there.
