All of our Stations will be out this month testing Hydrants in their response areas. The testing will be Monday thru Friday rain or shine so you may see them on the side of the road running some water. Our crews flush the hydrants, lube the connections, and maintain the immediate area to ensure efficient access in the event of an emergency. Be advised, when we do this it may cause some brown water at you house. This is completely normal and just run your water for 5 to 10 seconds and it will clear right up. In the pictures you see Deputy Chief C.J. Auten and Firefighter Devin Blake flushing a hydrant in town. Give them a honk to show your appreciation for all of the hard work they do!
