Huntersvillespartnership with Ms Pinkney was formed following a tragic house fire in Octoberof 2011 in which she lost her 9yr old son Nikko. As you may recall theDepartment responded to a reported house fire in the early morning hours of October10 2011 only to find that the fire had a head start and the house was well involvedwith fire by the time the first fire crew arrived. An attempt to locate andrescue Nikko was made by the on duty crew and volunteers who rushed to help unfortunatelyhowever he could not be saved and perished during the fire.
