It’s the poor condition of i77 in that area. The contractor is to blame for inferior work and not completing. Also NCDOT has failed us for allowing the current construction status. FINISH a section so its safe before you brag about Express lanes

Road needs paved correctly and new lines. Geesh

Huntersville Police Department North Carolina State Highway Patrol Is there anything more we can do to get people to "follow at a safe distance"? "Reduce speed in the workzone"? NC has a very verrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyy lax enforcement policy on highways, and these wrecks just keep piling up!

Don’t miss I-77 one bit.

This is why I refuse to travel on I-77!! I think it’s jinxed!!

Probably has something to do with the fact that nobody has any idea where the lines are...

Gee and it's not even Friday

Ughhhhhhhh...

Traffic is backed up to Exit 33 so be prepared for idiot's in a hurry and cutting people off.

*Traffic Alert* I-77 Southbound accident, after Exit 25 (Sam Furr Road).

6:18pm Station 1 and our Tanker 1 responding to an MVA, I-77 Southbound after Exit 25 (Sam Furr) depart the interstate now, if possible.

6: 50pm I-77 Southbound, after Exit 25 (Sam Furr Rd) is still closed due to an earlier MVA involving a horse trailer & a propane leak, avoid I-77 SB, depart interstate at exits 31, 30 & or 28...AVOID.

7:05pm Update - control time on the propane leak, releasing our Tanker 1. Still awaiting animal control to arrive on scene to assist with three horses involved in the accident. I-77 Southbound, after Exit 25 (Sam Furr Rd) is still closed to all traffic...all lanes...

7:30pm Update - scene turned over to Police, all fire/rescue crews are clearing from the scene. Lanes remain closed, wrecker service has arrived to begin work on clearing lanes.

7:40pm Update - Hunter Wrecker on scene, hopes to open the Express lanes and one general purpose lane soon as they continue to clean up the scene. Note: horses on scene, were moved to another trailer for safe keeping and transport.

Continue to use caution in the area & yield to responding units. #MoveOver #CLTtraffic Huntersville EXIT 23-25 Huntersville Police Department Huntersville, North Carolina - Town Government I-77 Express Exit 28 Ridiculousness

We’ve been sitting in this for about 40 minutes so far. Hope everyone is ok.

Please say no horses where inside?!?! 😞

Hi folks! Horses are safe! We just dropped them off at a farm in Huntersville! One has a minor cut but they are 3 very lucky horses!

Hope the horses are ok!

Great job HFD!!

I’m just happy everyone is ok and the animals are safe.

This morning we partnered with the Charlotte Fire Department, Charlotte NC, and the Cornelius-Lemley Fire Rescue in some ad-hoc ventilation training at a donated structure - the CARS automotive repair site (located at 115/Mt Holly Huntersville Road) before they relocated due to road improvements. This made for excellent training today led by Captain Jason Jefferies of Charlotte Fire (L18-B). We were proud to have our Tower 1, Cornelius Hook & Ladder 44, Huntersville Ladder 4 and Charlotte Ladder 18 (B) in attendance. #AlwaysTraining #OneTownOneTeam ... See MoreSee Less
